How to create a spending request
This post is part of a series of posts about the Hege DAO, see How to use the Hege DAO for an introduction and overview.
This article will show you how to create a spending proposal for spending funds from the DAO treasury. (If you want to make a poll proposal to just get the opinion about something from the members in the Hege DAO, see How to create a poll instead.)
To create a proposal, you must first be a member of the Hege DAO. If you are not already a member, please follow the instructions in How to become a member in the Hege DAO, and then come back here to continue.
When you are a member of the Hege DAO, here is how to create a spending request
1. Go to the Hege DAO page on Realms. Connect your wallet. It should look something like this. You can see how many $HEGE tokens you have deposited in the upper right corner, right next to the banner. (NOTE: You must have at least 10,000 $HEGE deposited to make a proposal. See How to deposit and withdraw to learn how to deposit tokens.)
2. Click "Create Proposal".
3. Fill in the title and description of your proposal.
4. Select the Vote Type to "Executable". Then click the "Next" button.
5. Click "Add Instruction".
6. Click "Send Tokens".
7. Select what token to send, the receiving Solana address, and the amount.
8. Click "Next".
9. Review the information that you filled in. Make sure everything is correct.
10. Select "No" on vote by multi-sig. Then click "Create Proposal".
9. Confirm the transaction in your Solana wallet.
10. Your proposal has now been created! If a share dialog is shown, close it.
11. You now see a page showing information about your proposal. Go back to the main page of the Hege DAO by clicking on "Hege DAO" in the upper left corner of the page.
12. Back at the main page, you can now see your new proposal in the list of proposals.
13. That's it! Your proposal is created and open for voting. Now go share it with the Hege community! And don't forget to vote on your proposal. See How to vote in the Hege DAO if you need help with that.
